{"id":648,"date":"2020-01-24T13:28:46","date_gmt":"2020-01-24T07:58:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/effectivetours.com\/docs\/?post_type=yada_wiki&#038;p=648"},"modified":"2020-01-24T13:29:21","modified_gmt":"2020-01-24T07:59:21","slug":"inventory-api","status":"publish","type":"yada_wiki","link":"https:\/\/effectivetours.com\/docs\/wiki\/inventory-api\/","title":{"rendered":"Inventory API"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\"> The connecting property management system (PMS) should use\u00a0<code>OTA_HotelAvailNotifRQ<\/code>to send availability and restrictions and\u00a0<code>OTA_HotelRateAmountNotifRQ<\/code>\u00a0to send rates and inclusions to Effective Tours API. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>General Guidelines for Inventory Updates<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">These guidelines must be followed by all connecting property management systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The&nbsp;<code>HotelCode<\/code>,&nbsp;<code>InvTypeCode<\/code>,&nbsp;<code>RatePlanCode<\/code>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<code>RoomTypeCode<\/code>&nbsp;are&nbsp;codes provided by Effective Tours Channel Manager (they&#8217;re fixed\/static). These codes can be obtained with a&nbsp;<code>OTA_HotelAvailRQ<\/code>&nbsp;call.<\/li><li>After a reservation is delivered over Effective Tours API into your integrated system (PMS, CRS etc), the integrated system&nbsp;<strong>MUST<\/strong>&nbsp;return the new reduced (replenishment in the case of Modify or Cancel reservations)&nbsp;&#8216;Availability&#8217; value back via the Inventory API.<\/li><li>Effective Tours API only allows Inventory Updates for Room\/Rate code combinations that are known to Effective Tours&nbsp;(i.e. have been setup and mapped to the PMS within the Effective Tours Channel Manager). Inventory messages (<code>OTA_HotelAvailNotifRQ<\/code>&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;<code>OTA_HotelRateAmountNotifRQ<\/code>&nbsp;) containing an unmapped Inventory\/Rate Code will fail returning Error &#8216;783&#8217;&nbsp;(check Error Handling for Details)<\/li><li>The PMS should send only changes made by the operation performed in the PMS and not full refreshes or other operations. For example if availability changes from 5 to 4, the&nbsp;<code>OTA_HotelAvailNotifRQ<\/code>&nbsp;should only contain the availability change and no other data\/operation (such as Stop Sell or MinLOS).<\/li><li>When a hotel is initially connected to Effective Tours API a full refresh should be sent to load up the hotel data. After that only changes should be send and refreshes may only be sent under exceptional&nbsp;circumstances. In the case of a full refresh, the operations should be grouped within the same message.<\/li><li>Identical changes in availability should be grouped when possible.
